Rockers drop season opener against Sparta

Former college teammates, Jamie Kelly(FP) and Tim Connors(Sparta), went to battle Sunday afternoon in FP and Sparta came out on top 2-0.

Sparta scored off a corner kick in first half stoppage time to take the lead 1-0. In the 2nd half a controversial penalty kick sealed the Rockers fate 2-0.

Gianna Green had the Rockers best chance in the first half but the keeper made an amazing save to preserve the clean sheet.

Rockers look to get back on track 4/30 at home against rival East Hanover.
