Hot off the pitch !

The door was SHUT on Chatham!

The Sweepers notched their first victory of the spring season with a 2-0 win over Chatham on Sunday.

The 1st shut out for the spring season was recorded by Billy Carlucci and the Sweepers defense led by Noah Burmeister, Aidan Walsh, James Mochnal, Michael Farrell, Kyle Hahn and Dylan Welby

The offense had some issues with finding their grove until late into the 2nd half, when they started to dominate the play on the pitch.  The first strike came when Noah Burmeister won a 50/50 ball on the defensive line to Valentino Della Grazia.  Valentino proceeded to take the ball to goal past several Chatham defenders, and finished with a strong strike to the back of the net.

The second goal occurred a few minutes later after the offense woke up and dominated play for the remainder of the game.  The assist was from Dylan Peterson, to Valentino Della Grazia finishing strong with his 2nd goal of the day.
