Firestorm Drop Points To Caldwell Cosmos

CALDWELL NJ – Florham Park Firestorm played their second match of the weekend against Caldwell Cosmos at Richard Park in West Caldwell.   Florham Park came into the contest with a 4-0-1 record and sitting on top of their table.

However, the physical game of the Cosmos seemed to be too much for the Firestorm on this Mothers Day afternoon.

The home side netted 2 first half goals as the Firestorm were sluggish from the opening whistle to the halftime break.

Caldwell played a strong game that might have been too much for the visitors.

The second half turned out to be a true contest between the 2 sides.   Both teams showed that they can compete against each other.  However neither team were able to score rendering the 2 nil loss for Florham Park.

Net minders Leif Youngren and Jack Botwin played excellent halves for the Firestorm.  Rocco Santillan and Jack Garing starred on the defensive side of the game.

Great second half efforts from Chase Sugg, Matty O’Leary, Jack Galante and Teddy Petro.

Florham Park will play host to Pomlakes Riverdale Shooting Stars next Sunday
