Flames burn Denville
The U9 Girls FP Flames travelled to Denville Sunday for the first game of the season.
Coming off a solid month of kick arounds the coaches thought the girls were ready to go and they didn’t disappoint.
Adrianna Rhodes scored the first goal in FP Flames history off a beautiful run through the midfield off an assist from Mya Flaumenbaum. The Flames led 1-0 at half time.
Sophia Caccavelli opened up the scoring in the second half on sweet shot in the side netting. Lily Folkemer assisted on the goal.
Travel veterans Gabby Carlucci and Francesca Devane rounded out the scoring off of great runs from the defense to close out the scoring and give the Flames the 4-0 victory.
Makayla Ferraro and Giuliana Dirienzo notched assists on each play.
Natalie Kelly and Taylor Martin combined on an 10 save shutout to move the Flames to 1-0. Both girls also contributed at forward as well.
Great job by Coach Chris and truly a team effort in their first game out!!! GO š„!!!!!
