Coto buries game winner as Rockers win against Springfield

Defensive stalwart Sara Coto came forward in the Rockers new look corner kick formation and converted a kick from Sadie O to give the Rockers a 1-0 lead in The Park.

The Rockers took a 1-0 lead into half time in this tightly contested match.

Gracie Kelly opened the scoring in second half off a great combination play by middies Ashley Peterson and Mia Zirpoli. Jess Byrne tucked away the Rockers third on a beautiful combo play on the left side from Boppy and Gracie Kelly. RMS star midfielder Sadie O completed the scoring late in the second half with a screamer assisted by Isabelle Medich.

Gia Dalessio was in net for the Rockers shutout. She was helped on the back line by Ryan O’Leary and Mia Heinold.

Ava Dico also provided constant pressure up front.

The Rockers move to 6-1 and travel to undefeated Madison on Sunday in a must win game. Good luck to the girls!!!!
