FPSR hosted Fall flight champion Madison and came away with a 5–1 victory Sunday afternoon at the Park.
Sam Cicerone scored 2 and set up another as FPSR came out flying.
Ashley Peterson opened the scoring for the Rockers in the first half. Mia Heinold intercepted a pass and fed Cicerone on the wing. Cicerone beat a defender and played a ball back post where right midfield Peterson timed her run perfect to score.
Jess Byrne then extended her streak of 3 games with a goal as she crashed the net and banged one home off assists from Sadie O and Mia Zirpoli.
2-0 at the half Cicerone took over and put the game out of reach. Her first came off a great Rockers build up down the right side. Isabelle Medich started the attack with a ball to winger Ava Dico. Dico centered a ball to Byrne who flicked it back post where Cicerone was waiting to extend the lead to 3-0.
Shortly after Rockers earned a corner kick and Cicerone scored off the corner kick bending a ball far post past a helpless Madison keeper.
Byrne finished the scoring(5 goals in 3 games) off another beauty. Sadie O outworked 2 Madison midfielders and played a ball to Gracie Kelly. Kelly then played Byrne into the box and Byrne beat the keeper near post for the fifth Rockers goal.
Gia Dalessio was minutes from the shutout after making a diving stop but Madison collected the rebound to break up the shutout bid.
Ryan Oleary and Sara Coto were both lockdown on defense.
Rockers have a week off before traveling to undefeated Hackettstown.
