Sugg Getting Hot For The Firestorm

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The 11U Firestorm move to 2-0 record as they topped Bridgewater Knights 4-2 at Emmett Field on Sunday.

Not only was the heat a challenge for the Firestorm, but injuries to Jack Botwin, Colin Heinold and newcomer Emilio Farina kept Firestorm limited with fresh field players.

Luke Ferrara opened up his account for the 2017 season netting his first goal giving the home team a 1-nil lead early in the first half.

Chase Sugg, was the star of the day wrapping up 2 in the onion bag for the days contest.  Sugg seemed unfazed by the heat coming off the pitch. He was a problem for the visiting team all day long.  With Bridgewater making a push towards the end of the half, Sugg’s strong efforts in the second half changed the game. Sugg now leads the team in goal scoring with 3 goals this campaign.

Jack Galante took the air out of the sails for the visitors scoring the 4th goal of the day.

Outstanding efforts had by Reid Baldwin and Teddy Petro in the midfield.   Bryce Cicchino and Leif Youngren played excellent in net and on the field.

Undefeated Firestorm host Springfield Dragons at 3:00pm next Sunday
