Rain and Mud can’t slow Landsharks

Sat Nov 18th , the Florham Park Landshark traveled to West Millford to face the Bobcats.

Overnight rain and rain at game start left the field wet and muddy. But even this could not slow the Landsharks quest for their first flight championship as they prevailed 3-0 in a game that could have been called at any time due to deteriorating field conditions.

Goals were scored by Tori Henning(2) and Astrid Youngren as the Landsharks devoured the Bobcats in their second meeting of the fall season.

Both Henning goals resulted in strong centering kicks from Midfielder Caitlyn Fenyk. Youngren scored after a penalty kick from Olivia Franco was deflected.

Also playing a strong forward position was Avi Tenore.

Midfield and stopper were rounded out by Parv Chiarella, Patsy Shallis, Olivia Franco and Caitlyn Fenyk

Camryn Sward and Alley Burmeister played tough defense

In Goal Patsy and Olivia shut down the Bobcats and recorded a shutout. All while Ava Adochio and Ally Massarano enjoyed a delightful show in New York City.

This win leaves the Landsharks with a 6-3 record and only needing a win in their last match to finish first in their flight.
