Watch Semi-Final
This got Florham Park Sting to the finals vs Pompton Lake/Riverdale.
Pompton Lakes: Florham Park Sting faced Pompton Lakes twice during the spring season. Both teams were in Flight 1. First game – FP lose 4-0, second game FP lose 7-0. Pompton Lakes was 8-0 in the league and 11-0 overall. The team had scored 55 goals and gave up 1 goal in 11 games. The team is made of Seniors and Juniors from Pompton Lakes and Morris Catholic High Schools (both schools won State championship last Fall)– 13 players are graduating seniors.
On paper FP had no chance against Pompton Lake, but they underestimated the boys determination and heart. And games are never played on paper, they are played on the field.
Florham Park Sting played the perfect game from start to finish. Controlled the mid-field, pressured the ball and did not let them get into a rhythm.
Finals: Florham Park Sting won the game 4-1 : Goals from Alesandro Martinez, Diego Coll-Martinez, Evan Iandiorio and Ryan Quiogue.
